Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AmiFit, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. In these terms, “AmiFit” refers to the app and its owner, developer, and any associated parties.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use AmiFit. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

Description of Service

AmiFit is a nutritional tracker with a focus on micronutrients. You log what you eat, and the app compares your intake against personalized targets to help you spot deficiencies. These targets are based on the information you provide and established guidelines, which you can review in the How Targets Are Set section.

Medical Disclaimer

AmiFit is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The recommendations provided are based on general dietary guidelines and should not replace professional medical advice.

Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions, are pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are taking medications.

Intellectual Property

All photographs in AmiFit are original works created by the developer. They are personally photographed and weighed with real portions. No stock images are used. These photos may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside of the app.

Composite foods marked AMFT are original compositions created by the developer, including their ingredient breakdowns and nutritional profiles.

Foods marked USDA are sourced from USDA FoodData Central, which is public domain. However, the selection, curation, translation into six languages, search term mapping, and verification of that data represent significant original work. The compiled database as a whole, including all translations and organization, is the intellectual property of AmiFit.

Prohibited Use

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app. You may not attempt to extract or copy the underlying database or its contents. Any unauthorized attempt to circumvent these restrictions is strictly prohibited.

No Warranties

AmiFit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that nutritional calculations will be accurate for all users.

Before purchasing, all users can freely browse the complete nutritional data for every food in the database (including raw values for vitamins, minerals, omega-3s, and all other micronutrients) as well as the complete ingredient breakdown with percentage composition for AMFT composite foods. This allows you to compare our data against sources such as the USDA database and assess accuracy before committing to a purchase.

Purchases

Premium access is billed through Apple as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Premium unlocks daily and weekly tracking for every nutrient beyond calories, protein, carbs, and fat, against your personal goals (content that is consumed the moment it is viewed), and the complete database is freely available to browse and assess before any purchase, so you know exactly what you're getting before you pay.

Lifetime Access

“Lifetime” means permanent access to premium features, with no further charges.

AmiFit has no servers. Your premium status is stored in an encrypted local database on your iPhone. It does not require internet access or periodic revalidation.

The app has two open-source dependencies, SQLite.swift and SQLCipher, both compiled into the app at build time. Everything else uses Apple's own frameworks. Nothing can “go down.”

If the app were ever removed from the App Store, your existing installation continues to work, but you would not be able to reinstall it on a new iPhone, as Apple re-downloads apps from the App Store during iPhone transfers and restores.

A major iOS version change could theoretically affect app functionality, particularly if the app is no longer actively maintained. But the app's offline nature and minimal dependencies reduces this risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmiFit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app.
